Frequent Questions

What is your Satisfaction Guaranteed policy?  We want you to be a satisfied customer. If we fail to pick up all of the dog waste in your yard, we will come back within 24 hours at no additional charge and re-clean your yard.  Click here to see our Satisfaction Guarantee.

Do you require contracts?  No.

Do you have insurance?  Yes. We carry liability insurance.

Does our gate need to be unlocked?  What if I forget?  If we can’t get into your backyard, we will knock on your front door. If nobody is home, the same weekly charge applies. We will send you a text or email indicating we were unable to access the backyard.

What happens if it snows? Our goal is to provide service every day. If it snows too much, we will suspend service until we can provide a meaningful service.  We will charge you 1/2 price for each week we can not collect your pet’s waste.  Once we resume service, we will charge our standard rate.

Do you work on holidays? We suspend service on all federal holidays. If your service day is a holiday, we will provide your service the day before or after the holiday. Our goal is to keep your yard clean.

Can I leave my dogs in the yard? Please do. We love dogs. If your dog demonstrates any aggression towards us, we will contact you to find a time to clean your yard when you are home. It may take a visit or two before your dog is comfortable with us.

How do I know you came? Hopefully by the good job we did. We keep a service log of when we provide service. If you want to know what days we were there, give us a call at 208-577-8836 and we can provide you with the information.

What if I refer new customers? If you sign someone up and they remain a customer for at least 2 months of service, you will get $20 off your next full month invoice.

Can I buy a gift certificate for a friend, neighbor or co-worker? Absolutely!  We can create a gift certificate for you to give to someone good towards any services offered by The Poo Company.  The recipient contacts us, arranges services, and provides the gift certificate when paying their invoice.  What a great gift!

Do you check the front and backyard for dog waste? We focus our efforts in your backyard. If you would like us to check the front yard, please let us know and we will work with you to understand what areas need to be cleaned.

Do you clean pet waste in gravel areas?  Yes. We will do our best to limit the removal of gravel with the pet waste but with the tools we use, some gravel will be removed with each cleaning.

Can I stop and start service if I am out of town or on vacation? Yes, you will find us very flexible. We ask that you let us know when you are gone at least 24-hours in advance so we can adjust accordingly. If we come to your home and check your yard, regardless of the amount of waste found, you’ll be charged for a visit.

What happens if I need to change my scheduled day? We will do our best to accommodate your request. Because we have certain routes in the Treasure Valley on certain days, we may not always be able to make it work.

How often do rates change? We typically raise rates annually on May 1st.
